Jennifer Bowers, OD, FAAO - Low Vision Optometrist in Virginia Beach

Dr. Jennifer Bowers is an optometrist whose practice is in Virginia Beach and focuses on low vision eye care with a passion for making a difference in the lives of those with visual impairments. She has spent the past 30 years dedicated to providing comprehensive eye care to patients. Dr. Bowers is a Fellow in both the American Academy of Optometry and in the International Academy of Low Vision Specialists. After many years of being a low vision examiner for the Virgina Department of Blind and Visually Impaired, she realized that there was a much greater additional need for specialized, custom-designed glasses including bioptic telescopes and prismatic glasses to help people further improve their abilities to drive, use computer, read, and watch television.

As a member of the International Academy of Low Vision Specialists (IALVS), a network of low vision optometrists, Dr. Jennifer Bowers intensively studied low vision care.  We are committed to maximizing our patient's vision and help them live their best lives.
